Yes, UCL is the largest constituent college of the University of London, but it awards its own degrees and operates independently.
Does UCL interview?
Most courses do not interview. Medicine, Architecture (Bartlett), and some arts/design programmes are the main exceptions.
How competitive is UCL?
UCL receives the most applications of any UK university (~91,000), but the number of places is also large (~6,000). Competition varies dramatically by course - check specific courses for accurate offer rates.
Can I apply to UCL and Oxbridge?
Yes. The Oxbridge restriction only prevents applying to both Oxford and Cambridge. You can apply to UCL alongside either.
